Anti-Muslim Racism Report 2023

On this day, Dokustelle Austria will present its 9th Anti-Muslim Racism Report, featuring case numbers and analyses from the year 2023.

In 2023, Dokustelle Austria recorded a total of 1,522 racist incidents against Muslims and individuals perceived as Muslim.
Compared to the previous year, 263 more offline cases were reported to us, marking an increase of over 100 percent in active case submissions.

In particular, the 2023 Report highlights the striking rise in cases reported from the education sector. An increasing number of parents, students, and teachers are reporting anti-Muslim racist incidents from schools and training institutions.

This year, the press conference will be interpreted for the first time simultaneously into Austrian Sign Language and Arabic (online).
